Christmas tealight candle boxes

I thought I make a start on Christmas stocking fillers as I had recently made a pack of tealight candles for a trial and really liked the idea... I figure these may be quite popular for stocking fillers and hope to make a few packs to sell to friends at work....

Stamped tealight candles in a box

I recently saw this idea on Sharlene's blogsite and had to try it out. I have stamped candles before but never thought of using tealights... These will make great little gifts and especially as stocking fillers for Christmas, I may even have a snowflake stamp tat might fit!

The box was very simple and has acetate on the lid so fully sealed.

Fox & Friends

I am a sucker for cute little animals so when this set came in the new mini catalogue, I just HAD to have it!
Just had a quick little play tonight with these two simple creations. With the monkey, I put two small slits/cuts along the branch and threaded the monkey's tail through and back through to the front so he is hanging there...

More brayering... little house...

I am really enjoying the brayering technique, unfortunately I still get funny streaks and blotches and definate lines. I am not sure how to avoid these apart from sponging on top... Any ideas or secrets, please let me know... thanks

I'm off to a good start this week as it is only Tuesday and I have made my mojo cards... One stamped and one cuttlebugged... Hope you like them.

Mojo 134

And lastly for tonight is my mojo card...It's rather bright and chirpy!

Manhattan flower embossing folder

I had a lovely visit from Sharlene tonight, as she delivered my order of new stamps. I'm sure she is having a good giggle at my craft table (it's rather small as I have limited space).

As my friend Michelle (Sharlene's sister) stopped demonstrating for Stampin Up last year, I had not really thought of who to buy from in future. I have always followed Sharlene's blog and met her via Michelle last year. I also enjoyed the We Stamp online stamping group which they also operated.

I have noticed that since this time, I had not kept up with mini catalogue releases and many good bargins on offer, so Sharlene has kindly added me to her customer list so I will be tempted by many upcoming deals I'm sure!

Here is a card made with the new manhattan flower embossing folder from Stampin Up!

Christmas fireplace

Thankfully Chirstmas is a long time away, I bought this one stampin up stamp from trademe this week. (Just the fireplace). I hade used my cuttlebug fire die and the stockings from the night before christmas set. Now all I need to make is some boots to come down the chimney!

New critters

Here are a couple of cards with some new stamps. I am so pleased I decided to get the chocolate bunny before the catalogue expired, even though easter has been, he will come in handy next year..

Brayered sky

I thought I'd try the brayer technique again, unfortunately I am still not very good and can't work out where I am going wrong....

Check out Michelle Zindorf's site on the my blog list, she is amazing! The holiday greeting card is her design, I didn't really do it justice though.

So after trying one of Michelle's I tried four of my own creations.....

I wish she would come to New Zealand to run some classes!

MOJO 133

I have to say I really liked and enjoyed the mojo sketch this week. I have used my favourite tree from the branch out set and made cuttlebug card using the funniest looking frog!

Updated stamp index book

After creating this little index book over easter weekend, I decided to add all my non-stampin up stamps, cuttlebug embossing folders and dies and other dies to this book. In doing this I scanned my non stampin up stamps via my printer.. They came out well so I decided to update the rest of the book where I had stamped some sets, it took a while but finally all on the computer... the bookj ended up rather large with only one set on each page, so I decided to put at least four sets on a page where possible, amazing what a difference it made to the size of the book.... so now I have a record of all my stampin and cardmaking stamps and dies and I am finally happy with the final book ......
