Sense of time - new stampset

And the final creation of the night and you may notice the clock is set at the time it is about now!!!

If you want to know how I made this so the clock has adjustable hands, then leave me a comment..... it's very easy and uses two items you are bound to have in your craft supply. I thought it would be good for new years cards as you can set just before midnight or simply adjust for a special time for an event etc....

I had a very good start to the day today, I got some results back from my latest study course and it was a great result. Only one more course to do this year then 2-3 next year to complete my Diploma. Yipee....

The day got better when my friend Michelle came into work and dropped on my latest order. Shortly after that came some news that I still am a little shocked and sad about. But all in all the majority of the day was pretty good and ended even better with making new cards!

We Stamp - Double pocket gift bag

I finally made some time to make these fabulous bags.

This is one of the many We Stamp projects. Aren't they simply fantastic!

I have to say the We Stamp team put so many great projects on their members area that even I couldn't keep up, and for those who know me, you'll find that hard to believe! (Way to go Sue, whoever you are, you did a great job in keeping up with the daily projects!)

Seriously though, if you missed out on the first round of We Stamp membership, you really missed some great projects, but it's not too late, their next round will be starting soon.

The great thing I like, is that you join for a very reasonable small fee for one month, and in that month they upload about 21 differnt projects and ideas! There are three different designers all with different talents so there is also a good variety of designs on offer. They come with good instructions and templates to download, how easy is that.

Check out the We Stamp blog by clicking on their blinkie on the right side of my blog.... there's also some cool free stuff on their homepage!

This is the left side of the inside kit opened up, it joins to the next photo and opens out into one long set.

A calendar on the first fold out part, 3 matching cards with envelopes in the second part.

(This is the second part is joined to the first part)

A notepad and pen and then a stamp holder on the last fold out part.

Here is the lighthouse....

And the lovely stormy waves

And of course the cutest cow

And a haybarn with more cows and the lovely sea in the distance...

Cuttlebug spot challenge #42

I have recently found the cuttlebug spot blog and am impressed by the challenges and information and ideas on the site, to check it our click on their blinkie over on the right hand side of my blog.

This is my first challange and you need to locate their blinkie on 3 blogsites (can include your own) and then post a card using your favourite embossing folder..

Here is my card using, my favourite, swiss dots embossing folder... so pure and simple!
This little card slides/pops up when you pull the tab, raises the butterfly to give it flight and then displays a hidden message at the bottom of the card...

Forest Friends

And lastly my final post for the weekend....

This is my favourite set from stampin up's new mini catelogue, forest friends.... There is also a tree in the set but I haven't used it here...
I just love bambi and thumper so I could not resist this set...

I used the daisy wheel along the bottom and brayered the sky on glossy cardstock. Added a little dazzling diamonds to the centre of the daisies... and then I added flock to the owl, bambi and thumper so they look and feel furry.... so CUTE!

Cuttlebug sanded embossed backgrounds

After following a couple of cuttlebug blogspots, I finally found out how people are able to make embossed backgrounds stand out...

The trick is to use paper that is coloured on top and not the whole way through, this way you can sand your embossing which will take the colour off the top and let the white show through...

Here are my first attempts.... it really gives a whole different look to your cards...

Cuttlebug cards

Here are a couple of creations from the weekend...

The first one I decided to try cutting through paua laminate on my cuttlebug, it does crack the laminate a little but is hardly noticeable... the flower does shine nicely in red paua...

Next is a simple black and white card with a lovely saying from stampin up's once upon a time set, the hearts are from stampin up's polka dot punches set....
