Scrapbook page maps -Becky Fleck

How exciting, I got home from work to find my books had arrived from the US (amazon.com). They only took 16 days to arrive although for standard delivery they said they would arrive by about 10th November! Unfortunately the postage from US to NZ can be expensive so I went for the cheapest option however arrived in great time. I couldn't find the books in NZ and when I did it would cost over $100....

So all up I got these two fabulous books for just under $70 NZ. Scrapbook Page Maps and Scrapbook Page Maps 2, by Becky Fleck. (She has done a great job on these books)

They are so cool, not only are they packed with layouts (page maps) but also many completed pages using the layouts. And they come with cards you pop out with the page map on one side and the finished sample on the other.

They have 12x12, A4 horizontal, A4 vertical, 12x12 double pages, A4 double pages and a few card layouts too! The layouts use anything from 1 to 10 photos in a page map and for all the different sized sketches. One of the best things I like about these page maps is they have the size of the photos to use, how easy is that!

There are about 60 page maps (cards) in each book. The first ones don't have a ring or hole but come with a box to store them in and the second comes with holes ready to put onto a ring, a much better idea so you can take them wherever you go, even when shopping for supplies! I put holes in the first lot and added a ring as preferred this to a box... easy to flick through.....

Now I just need sometime to start my scrap booking, luckily we have a long weekend on its way!

Cardmaking techniques on CD

WOW! How lucky and spoilt am I?

I recieved this lovely gift from a super lady today, Sharlene (via special delivery from the lovely Trisha). It's a CD of almost 100 techniques to use while doing the thing we LOVE, making cards.

Not only is the CD PACKED with ideas but it came in such a delightful handmade CD cover using a Stampin Up new set, Artistic etchings. Notice the lovely new Rich Razzleberry cardstock?? Yummy!

If you want to get your hands on one of these CDs made by the very clever Sharlene Torres! Let me know as she will make these to sell or check out her blog from my bloglist on the right hand side and leave her a comment or send her an email directly....

Not only does the CD contain the techniques/instructions but also a photo of the finished technique, I can't wait to try them all!

Thanks Sharlene, you are one of those people who ARE very clever and creative...

Final class with Michelle! Bo Ho

Well, Sunday was spent with a great card class at Michelle's. Although the class was great as usual, it was a little sad as it was Michelle's final class. After being a Stampin Up demonstrator for quite a few years, she has decided to free up some time and enjoy life.

Michelle is a lovely person and has become a very good friend. She has been a terrific teacher and a super demonstrator for stampin up, they were lucky to have her. She'd be a hard act to follow. Her creations and techniques have been such a great help to me and she has managed to transform my creations from little to no stamping, to mostly stamping!

The good thing is that she will continue stamping and of course We Stamp, so is not that glooming from a customer point of view really, but I can't help but feel a little empty. She has always encouraged and inspired me and made a considerable difference in my life. Thanks Michelle, for EVRYTHING!

Here are four of the five cards we made at class... (Obviously it was a Christmas Class!)

Not only did Michelle drop off my latest order tonight but she was also so very thoughtful and kind and made a very special birthday card and a very classy gift bucket tin FULL of my FAVOURITE lollies - Jelly Jubes! Of course the card and gift match perfectly!

The card is so thoughtful that it includes my favourite colours pink and blue, includes a dazzling diamond butterfly of which I also LOVE and 2 ENORMOUS pearls! Isn't it just so very perfect in every way! I love Michelle's cards so much I go to almost all of her classes, whoops my secret is out - yep she taught me everything I know about stamping!

And here is the classy bucket tin FULL of Jelly Jubes - Sorry I am not sharing them!!

Punch Art - Animals

By the way above is a card I received from my friend Rel for my Birthday. I forgot to blog it earlier. She has thoughtfully made this especially as the cute birdie is blue (I LOVE IT) like my budgie and pink and blue are my favourite colours and the cool flower brads were purchased when we went ot a closing down sale a few months back.... Thanks Rel - it's just perfect!

Here are some creations for the evening, another late night.... just got a bit carried away..

Believe it or not this is a horse! Hopefully the horse shoe gives it away...

I showed this to some people at work, not many guessed it was a horse so I guess it's pretty bad!

And this one you should recognise from the red nose!

Of course I had to recreate my favourite from Michelle's class last month - the cow.... (excuse the pig looking snout - my oval was a bit big)

And another recreation from Michelle's, a lovely dog....

Last night - CARD CLASS WITH MICHELLE HABIB

Well what a super start to the weekend. Michelle had organised a punch card class, I couldn't think of anything I'd enjoy more on a Friday Night, so of course I had to go...

Not only was the company GREAT (that includes you Julie) but the cards were FANTASTIC!

Michelle you really outdid yourself again! WOW WOW WOW!

Can you believe all of these cards are made using Stampin Up Punches!

The first card is a fish made with a border scallop punch, oval punch, 5-petal flower punch and scallop punch. Look s complex but is surpisingly easy when you have such a great teacher..

Next is a lovely Japanese lady, made with circle and oval punches.

And here is a very cute Dog - made with oval and circle punches.

And lastly my favorite the cow! This is made with the Round tab punch, oval punch and 5-petal flower punch.

The only thing missing was a PIG (Not!) (You had to be there! and I imagine you wish you were now you have seen these FABULOUS cards!)

I can't wait for PUNCH CLASS TWO!
