Card boxes - gift boxes for Christmas
Well, I have been frantically preparing for Christmas. I have a few lovely ladies at work who often buy my cards from the box in the staffroom, they really support my cardmaking addiction so I have been busy making boxes of cards for them for Christmas gifts.
Each box holds 10 cards and envelopes, the first three are all photo cards from photos I have taken all around New Plymouth, Taranaki. The other boxes hold cards for all occassions.
The box is very simple to make as has a cardstock base and acetate lid which sits inside the base and is sealed with a bow.

Christmas cards - tin foil embossing!
with tin foil straight out of the kitchen cupboard!
Of course I had to try it... How cool, you cover a peice of scrap card with the tin foil, fold corners and stick on the back. Put the tin foiled card into your embossing folder, run through the cuttlebug and Wow you have a metal looking embossed card. I used the matt side as preferred this look to the shinny side.. I also think the inverted embossing shows up better as on the bauble card, I must try the others that way next time...
