cricut everyday pop up cards - butterfly

Here is a card (which I took the time to finish properly) as have the night off.... no more timeoff till sunday as working fulltime and also working back stage for 42nd street at the theatre... busy busy..

I really like this cricut cartridge although it may take a while to work out how some of the pop ups work... at least this one is easy.... the card can be displayed half open or laying flat completely open....

Plain and simple cards

Tonight I decided to make some plain and simple cards.... They all have dazzling diamonds on them although they do not show in the photos... I used cuttlebug embossing folders which I found at the local warehouse sometime ago..... nice and simple!

Birthday card - inspiration

I recieved this very lovely birthday card today from a friend at work, it's perfect in every way as of course I love budgies and one of them even looks like my 'Kiwi'. The moment I saw the card I was inspired to try to make one myself. My attempt didn't work very well but at least I tried!

Inspired by Nature

With such stormy weather it's been a great start to a creative weekend, I have managed to knit 2 scarves and make 12 cards so far!

Brayered sky

I thought I'd try the brayer technique again, unfortunately I am still not very good and can't work out where I am going wrong....

Check out Michelle Zindorf's site on the my blog list, she is amazing! The holiday greeting card is her design, I didn't really do it justice though.

So after trying one of Michelle's I tried four of my own creations.....

I wish she would come to New Zealand to run some classes!

And the last two creations of the weekend..... the daisy card design is straight out of the 2009-2010 stampin up catelogue and the bird card using the spotlight technique was based on a card I made at a class with Michelle over a year ago now...

Brayer - upsy daisy

I thought I'd give this brayer technique another try tonight. This is a design by Zindorf, she makes amazing cards... I followed her instructions which can be found on her blog and also on splitcoast stampers website.

I still need alot of practice, I can't seem to brayer properly, maybe I use too much ink??

We Stamp sketch 9

I have been out every night for the super show, Miss Saigon. It's going great and we now have two nights off, yippee......

Mojo 100 Day 5

Here is my mojo card for day , I'm a little behind as mojo day 6 is out already... As much as I am enjoying a sketch a day for Mojo's 100th celebration, I would find it hard to keep up...

It's a great week when you can come home from work and make another card with another great mojo sketch.

For this card I have used Stampin Up Eastern Blooms stampset and the words from the upsy daisy set.
