Nature notes notebook

Here is a little notebook I made last night.
I wanted a book to write notes on what u saw, where and what month for my photography so I can go back next year looking for similar birds or flowers etc.
I made the cover with patterned paper, the words on my cricut machine but drawn with the cricut gels pens rather than cut, and the birds are stamping up punches. I then laminated the covers and bound the pages using my bind-it-all. The month flower stamps and the lines are also Stampin up.

Stampin 411 - sketch challeng 174 and 175

Another two sketch cards made tonight but also too late to enter....

I have to say I really do not like the newspaper type DSP and really just want to use it up fast!

As for the owl card, this is for a lady at work who is having a birthday and LOVEs pink and fancy dress!

Owl with moving eyes

Here is my first creation of the weekend...

I watched the original dvd of April Fools Day recently and it had one of those pictures on the wall with moving eyes, so I had a thought of how I could do that with the stampin up owl and here is my creation. When you pull the arrow the eyes move from left to right, it's much better when you see the real thing of course as the photo's don't quite do it justice!

Brayer on cuttlebug embossing

Here are a few of last nights creations, I have embossed the card with my cuttlebug and then brayered ink over the embossed card, then sponged a lighter colour over the remaining white...

The first is on whisper white card the other two on glossy cardstock which really gives a lovely shine and different look....

The owl is sticking out on a 3d sticky... with his feet glued to the branch....

New goodies

Well it's been an exciting day as my stampin up order arrived! I have some ink pads on back order and the watercolour crayon upgrade kit, but other than that everything else arrived! I took a photo but it doesn't do justice to the goodies.... all I need now is time to play!

So I haven't mounted even half of the sets yet but did manage to make three cards..

Of course I had to use the monster first as I have been very excited about the make a monster set....

Next I did a rather quick brayer card trying to resemble a wave.... and added the extreme surfer....

And lastly a take on Sharlene's owl card on her blog.. I didn't have the woodgrain background stamp so have used the cuttlebug wood grain embossing folder......Posted by Picasa
