cricut everyday pop up cards - butterfly

Here is a card (which I took the time to finish properly) as have the night off.... no more timeoff till sunday as working fulltime and also working back stage for 42nd street at the theatre... busy busy..

I really like this cricut cartridge although it may take a while to work out how some of the pop ups work... at least this one is easy.... the card can be displayed half open or laying flat completely open....

Occasion cards

And the final creations of the evening, occasions cards for my card box as when I revamped it with catergory dividers I realised I did not have many occasions cards...

Balllons from the button bear set and cuttlebug embossing folder.

Cuttlebug horseshoes with brads and cuttlebug embossing folder. Unfortunately I have run out of antique brads so there are a couple of mixed ones on the horseshoes....

Baroque motifs silver embossing.... and cuttlebug embossing.

Never ending joy bouquet and cuttlebug embossing folder.

Frames with a flourish, buddies stamp... While making this I was going to use the frame on the top and bottom, then thought I wonder if I can use on the sides too, I had no idea it would make such a pretty circle! Next time I will emboss the square frame first, that way I will be able to stamp the frame straight!

Have to say that I am LOVING the Stampin Up Teeny tiny sentiments stamp set, I thought it may be too small when I bought it but am surprised how much I am using it, more than my other word sets!

scrapbook page

I recently puchased a small scrapbook, for pages a little bigger than 6inch square.... I am tempted to buy one with more pages but wanted to see how I would get on making designs for smaller than the standard 12x12 pages... So here is a page I put together tonight, it'scertainly easier to put together a smaller page... Not sure if you can see into the photo, my precious budgie, kiwi. I took this photo last Christmas with my camera remote function...

Stamped tealight candles in a box

I recently saw this idea on Sharlene's blogsite and had to try it out. I have stamped candles before but never thought of using tealights... These will make great little gifts and especially as stocking fillers for Christmas, I may even have a snowflake stamp tat might fit!

The box was very simple and has acetate on the lid so fully sealed.

upsy daisy and song of spring

And the last two creations of the weekend..... the daisy card design is straight out of the 2009-2010 stampin up catelogue and the bird card using the spotlight technique was based on a card I made at a class with Michelle over a year ago now...

Penguin wedding card - spellbinders nestabilities

So lastly my final attempt at penguins (above). I went from penguins looking like bears, to dogs, then bumble bees (no photo of this as was very embrassing), then finally, I think I have done it! What do you think??

I have to say the laughs at work were as much fun as trying to get it right!

Okay so the second attempt below ended up with the penguins looks more like Dogs! My card making supporters at work agreed that from a distance they looked good but up close the face layering just didn't work...

So I have added another photo to this post as when I took the penguin card (below) to work today, Val loved it, however, Glenys came along and said "what a lovely BEAR card"! Funny, even I have to admit something was not quite right with my first attempt and they do look like bears! So after work tonight I tried again and the above photo is my next attempt, I think they look better but I'm still not sold on them!

About a year ago I made a few penguin wedding cards, unfortunately I threw my templates away in my recent clean out, probably thinking they were alot of work to trace around everything and then cut and glue all of the pieces...

A lady at work asked me if I could make her another one, so I thought I'd give it a try using my spellbinder nestabilities, ovals and circles.

The hat is made using the stampin up tab punch, the feet and wings were circle and ovals cut in half... the beak is freehand...

I couldn't decide whether oval or round faces were better, the smaller oval was a bit too small so here we have two FAT penguins!

Please let me know what you think...

Song of Spring Stationery set

Here is another stationery kit, this time using A song of Spring stampset....

After making it with the intention of a gift, I decided I like it so much I'm going to keep this one for myself!

Here is the cover/outside box with ribbon handle...

This is the left side of the inside kit opened up, it joins to the next photo and opens out into one long set.

A calendar on the first fold out part, 3 matching cards with envelopes in the second part.

(This is the second part is joined to the first part)

A notepad and pen and then a stamp holder on the last fold out part.

These are the three cards for the inside of the stationery kit...
