Mojo 106

Finally an evening off! After a long couple of weeks with work from 8am then after work, off to the theatre till 11pm, I finally have a night off at home. It's 10.15pm already but I did find time to make my mojo card..... I decided to try a pull out tab on this one and it has a small 3d square underneath so it will stay straight when the card is standing up on display...

A gift for a friend

Well don't you just hate it when you visit a friend a few days after her Birthday! While there you notice all these lovely cards on display, and rather hastily ask what the occassion is!

Whoops!

It was my very dear friend, Michelle's birthday on the 20th and I even had a reminder in my phone but it didn't work... The good thing is that she knows how I feel, terribly aweful for missing such an event.... anyway in between work and racing off to open the theatre for rehearsals, I managed to buy a gift from the chemist, make a box and write some meaningful words on the tag, deliver the gift to her house and make it to open the theatre on time. (Pretty amazing feat for me!)

Sorry about the softening technique I used on the photo, the meaningful words are best kept hidden!

And Michelle, if you happen to read this.. HAPPY BELATED BIRTHDAY!

paper bag mini scrapbook

Here is a mini scrapbook made from 2 paper bags. A friend at work was given one from her sister and brought it in to show me. This one is very different from the one she had but it was such a clever idea that I thought I'd give it a try...
As it is made from two bags, it has two pockets where I have put pull-out cards in... The fourth photo shows the middle of the scrapbook where you can see I have used 4 eyelits on the spine to hold it all together by threading ribbon though... then it's as simple as adding photos and decorating the pages.

Mojo 104

Here is my mojo card for the week.
I have just started helping backstage with the local operatic societies production of Miss Saigon, so I am finding it hard to find time for my love of card making. The show opens in two weeks and runs for three weeks and is the bigest show ever done by operatic. It will be lots of fun and I have been volunteering for 12 years now.
Hopefully I will be too busy to miss my cardmaking hobby! I will be very pleased if I can find time for the mojo sketch and the next round of We Stamp projects which has just started.

Cuttlebug spot challenge 47

The cuttlebog spot's challange 47 was to make any card using a bird.

Of course I just love little birdies as I have the cutest little blue budgie, kiwi jones. I am so very blessed as he went on his big OE (outdoor experience) for one month and ended up staying in a hotel down the road before he was returned safely home.
