swallows and flowers

Here are some cards using the new swallow stamp I bought from the Dunkleys craft fair this weekend...

I also tried making a flower using round scallops, I quite like these.

And another card using the cuttlebug quilling flower - rose....

Another little purchase from the craft fair, cuttlebug quilling flower die , comes with two styles of flower, carnation and rose...

Gingerbread house treat box

Here is another treat box, I used the birdhouse template and changed where I cut out for the windows and door etc....The bottom opens so you can put treats in, it's a tight fit so they shouldn't fall out either if hung up... The buttons are a sizzix die (set of 4) I have had these for ages but have hardly used.... I figured they kinda look like lollies!!!

I had only been at the craft fair yesterday for 2 seconds inside the door when i looked down and saw a card made with the bear and the stamp sitting next to it... I just had to have it, too darn cute!

Tree trimmings

Well the long weekend (Queen's Birthday) if off to a good start, not only have I bought two new stampsets, I have also managed to make 6 cards tonight using these sets and I haven't even been to the craft fair yet! I am really looking forward to the Dunkley's craft fair tomorrow, it's on for 4 days including today (shame I had to work)... so I may go more than one day.... I think it's going to be an expensive weekend!

So here are 3 cards made using the tree trimmings set, I know it's a bit early for Christmas cards but had to try the set out... I have stamped the baubles onto cardstock on both sides, it's so easy with my favourite tool, the stamp-a-ma-jig from stampin up. I stamped the image on one side of the card, the other image on the stamp-a-ma-jig plastic sheet, held them up to a light to line up and stamped in place on the other side.... this way when the bauble moves you can see it is the same on both sides!
The windows are cut out with my nestabilities using my cuttlebug and then I used a larger frame and embossed it to give the frame detail....
I was really pleased with the result. Nice and simple...

Uncharted Territory

Late last night I decided to buy a couple of stampsets on trademe...

I met with a lovely lady from bell block after work to collect them as she was coming into town.
Absolutely love the stampsets! Uncharted territory and tree trimmings... I didn't buy them when the mini catelogues came out as I couldn't buy everything I liked at the time....

I have a colleague leaving work tomorrow for a new job so I thought I would make her a card and it's always easier and a lot more fun when I have a mojo sketch to work from....

Sea views - Photobook

Here is a little photo book I made last night. The theme for this is sea views.... Some photos are from last weekend and the rest are from the last year or so...

Used the bind-it-all for the binding, scrap cardboard covered in paper for covers and then decorated with the fishy friends stampset.

Good Neighbours

Here is a rather different card using the good neighbours stampset. I haven't used it much yet and have no idea what to do with it. I didn't like my first attemp with a brayer background so I threw it out and decided to heat emboss in white to make a snowy kind of scene. Then added (far too much) puff paint to the clouds!

I enjoyed the mojo sketch so much I thought I wouldtry another card, this one is made by stamping onto a cork sheet... gives a nice texture especially for a

realistic teddy bear.

Yey, it' mojo time again... Here is my card based on this weeks sketch. I even added a flower on the inside of the card. The butterflies have dazzling diamonds sprinkled on the dots but they didn't photograph very well..... Hope you like it!
