Fishy Friends Scrapbooking Page

So after a weekend spent taking down my old pool which leaked after 3-4 years of use. And then of course buying a new one, only to find this also had a small leak, which was bound to get worse over time, so having to take that down too so I could return it. It seems only fitting to have made a water themed scrapbooking page.
I can't get a replacement pool in the other style as there are still on order. I hope they arrive before the raincheck expires!
So I have used Stampin Ups Fishy Friends set, watercoloured and covered with dazzling diamonds. The background pages were a cheapy from the warehouse. The cute photos are from slides that I am currently loading into my pc via my printer. All very time consuming as I then have to touch up the photos before printing. I even photostitched the two scrapbook pages together back they didn't quite line up, they do in my scrapbook tho!

Summer by the sea

This is my last creation for the night as almost midnight...
I have used SU summer by the sea - couple stamp and left uncoloured as I quite like the sketched look. I have added a Thanks brad to the front, and a SU Polka dot puches flower stamp backed with a scallop and finished with a jewel brad to the top left corner. The background is embossed with two cuttlebug border embossers.

Mateys Map - Pirate Ship

I decided it was too late to start studying tonight so I have made a couple of cards instead, This cool Pirate ship is a cuttlebug die and the groovey background is from Stampin Up, mateys map wheel. I Couldn't decide whether I liked it Portrait or Landscape and coloured or plain so I made both.

Polka Dot Punches and Live your dream

Simple but nice, the words are from the Stampin Up Live your dream set and the middle stamped circles are a polka dot puches SU free sale-a-bration set, I have covered the middle of the stamp with a circle and backed with a scallop, then using a brad, I have attached a metal flower. The background is embossed with the cuttlebug paisley background, scored at the bottom of the card with the scorpal. Very simple but I like the look of this one.

Live your dream

This is a new Stampin Up set, Live your dream.
I love it, there is much more to this set than used on this card, the options are endless. Can't wait to find some time to play with this set, should be studying this weekend tho and haven't started yet. It's been a fun day tho, as I have taken down my old pool due to it leaking and have bought a new one. 30% off at the warehouse and even upgraded to a 1o foot! It's still filling up at 9 o'clock tonight... Hopefully I will get study done tomorrow and have monday to swim and make cards, that's the life!

Paisley Background

What a great start to Taranaki Anniversary Weekend, My latest Stampin Up order arrrived so I rushed over to Michelle's place to collect it... Wow, I arrived just in time for pudding! Desert was lovely, Michelle will know what I mean! Lol That made my weekend!
Michelle is very lucky as she have a fantastic family, I'm so glad I have had the pleasure in meeting them all.

Seals - Tug Boat

The seals are another trademe bargin, very cute. I couldn't resist since I had been on Chaddy's Charters over the holidays and took some great photos of the seals.....

Life definitions

The fence is a bargin from trade me. I love it. The horse is from SU and the definition 'journey' is a fab new set from SU, Life definitions... They will be great for scrapbooking too.

This cute signpost is another trademe purchase. Very cool, I have simply stamped words onto the sign....

Street Lamp

Here are a few creations I made tonight, simple, quick and easy. I wanted to try out some new stamps... This lamp post was a recent trademe purchase...

Glass Jar

The last creation for the day is this preserving jar. I simply added a strip of paper round the base, a circle on the top, and stamped the flower from SU friendship blooms onto the same patterned paper. I added one flower to the top, and lastly a bow. This would look great filled with lollies but then I'd probably eat them!

Money Box

This is a tin money box, another bargin from the warehouse. Once decorated they don't look half bad. I am thinking I should use this and start putting my gold coins in it and then open it just before Christmas. Knowing me I would soon be shaking it to get the money out sooner, but time will tell.

Altered Tins

Well the metal tin I made the other day has multiplied, I found this set of tins at the Warehouse but cannot find any more. It's a shame as these are very cute with the tray.

Altered Tin Bucket

After seeing some of Michelle's inspiring projects last night, and with the excitement of playing with my new crop-o-dile big bite II, I rushed out to the warehouse after work to buy some tins.

Although I hadn't considered that buying a bucket shape tin would cause any problems, would you believe I had no idea how to cut the paper to fit, eventually I worked out that I needed to lie tin down on paper and trace the shape while rolling the tin along. I was delighted when I ended up with a curved sheet of paper which actually fit around the tin.

So basically, I used the BB crop-o-dile to cut holes into the tin and inserted eyelets around the top. I cut the paper into two for top and bottom so you would see the nice detail of the brass coloured tin in the middle. Added ribbon and some flowers (Stampin up , *friendship blooms set )and there you have it, a very cute tin bucket. This will be a great gift filled with soaps or treats... the options are endless.

Kiwi

Just got home from another enjoyable card class at Michlelle's home, thanks MH for the nice designs.... We made 4 lovely cards and the company was great, what a nice bunch of ladies..

With no new creations, I thought I'd add a photo of my budgie, Kiwi Jones.

He is such a character, ever so cute. He LOVES eating peaches.

Would you believe he has taken a liking to MY corned silverside too!

Kiwi is very talkative (wonder who he gets that from) and he loves kisses, yep he gives me kisses and i give him lots of kisses too! I have to say as adorable, fluffy, cuddly and warm as he is, a mouth full of feathers isn't much fun!

Disney Waterfall Card

The last creation of the night, a cute disney waterfall card. It's been so long since I made one of these, I'd almost forgotten how to make it.

I used the circles cuttlebug embossing folder for the background and a new stamp cube with the four disney characters on it, a recent trademe bargin!

Season of Joy Scrapbook Page

I can hardly believe I managed to make a scrapbook page tonight. This is my first scrapbook page in a long time and the first one using Stampin Up stamps or any stamps infact. I think its okay, what do you think?
I also used my new Big Bite to do the eyelets in the middle, the tree and snowflakes are on 3d dots and covered with dazzling diamonds! Also used SU Season of Joy stampset.
I took the photos recently during the Christmas/Summer Festival of Lights here in Taranaki.

Crop-o-dile Big Bite II

My new gadget just arrived so I had to try it out. Can you believe I have upgraded from the loud banging fiskars eyelets setters to a Crop-o-dile BIG BITE!
I must admit that I was a little shocked when it arrived due to its size. Amazingly though its not very heavy and rather easy to use.

So this was a quick and easy card using the big bite for setting large eyelets.. Also used a frame from SU frames of flourish, words from SU lots of thoughts and a new bear peeker bosskut die.

Festival of Lights

We are so lucky in Taranaki, it is the best place to live.. Here is a photo I took of the Festival of Lights at Pukekura Park. The festival finished tonight. I spent much of the holidays parking up with my events chair, watching the shows. Ardijah was my favourite....

Always time for you

And finally the last creation for the day... Again this is from SU Always time for you set. The tree is from SU 'Lovely as a Tree' and the grass stamp was a bargin from trademe... and cuttlebug border embosser for top and bottom.
You may be able to see that the 'always time for you' words are sticking out on a little shelf, for this 3D effect I scored a quarter in four lines at bottom of card and then stamped words onto the second line, finally folded into a stick out square, I have also hidden a 3d dot (dimensional in SU talk) inside so it will not squish (i love making up new words) in the post.

Well the weekend is almost over, so back to another busy week at work. It wouldn't be right not to make some cards before the week ahead, so i decided to make a few cards using a lovely Stampin Up set from the Summer Mini Catelogue, Always Time for you. This is a cute set and includes a bike, garden seat, clock and words 'always time for you'.
