A lovely gift from a dear friend
WOW, How lucky am I?
Not only did Michelle drop off my latest order tonight but she was also so very thoughtful and kind and made a very special birthday card and a very classy gift bucket tin FULL of my FAVOURITE lollies - Jelly Jubes! Of course the card and gift match perfectly!
The card is so thoughtful that it includes my favourite colours pink and blue, includes a dazzling diamond butterfly of which I also LOVE and 2 ENORMOUS pearls! Isn't it just so very perfect in every way! I love Michelle's cards so much I go to almost all of her classes, whoops my secret is out - yep she taught me everything I know about stamping!
And here is the classy bucket tin FULL of Jelly Jubes - Sorry I am not sharing them!!
How very spoilt I am indeed.
Thanks Michelle, you are such a great teacher and friend, inspirational, creative and thoughtful and kind.

New Christmas Stampset
Here is a card using the other stampset from my latest order which Michelle kindly delivered earlier this evening...
Santa is so very cute! Before ordering this set I thought I may be able to make his legs swing so I gave it a go and sure enough it works a treat...
So his legs are hanging on an eyelit (with top of eyelit facing the card and not squished) and then a brad put through and split/fixed on back of the scallop. Santa is mounted on 3d squares so there is plenty of room for the brad and eyelit behind his coat.....
Don't forget to check out my next post for the very special gift I had the pleasure in receiving tonight from Michelle.....

I am so very lucky, not only is it time for Mojo Monday but I also had a special visit from my dear friend Michelle.
She dropped of my latest order on her way to play squash, YIPEE!
She also bought a very lovely surprise which I will blog shortly, it came with a beautiful card which she made based on the mojo template too... (Check it out in a later post - it's stunning!)
So my mojo is made using one of my new Stampin Up sets, Cheap Talk. Anyone who knows me will tell you how much I LOVE birdies, especialluy my budgie, Kiwi Jones, who by the way is back to his old self after his month of freedom in the big world outside!

Two more punch art cards - sesame street...
And the last two punch art creations of the evening...
The traffic light...
And lastly, i hope you recognise these guys! Bert and Ernie from sesame street.... their mouths are a bit funny but they were big anyway!
...sunny days...taking my cares away.... bla bla da da ... how to get to sesame street... LOL well that's about all I recall from the theme song, feel free to fill in the gaps for me....I was more a muppet show fan although all were created by Jim Henson.
I always laughed at the two old guys in the booth, waldolf and statler i think....

Punch Art - Animals
By the way above is a card I received from my friend Rel for my Birthday. I forgot to blog it earlier. She has thoughtfully made this especially as the cute birdie is blue (I LOVE IT) like my budgie and pink and blue are my favourite colours and the cool flower brads were purchased when we went ot a closing down sale a few months back.... Thanks Rel - it's just perfect!
Here are some creations for the evening, another late night.... just got a bit carried away..
Believe it or not this is a horse! Hopefully the horse shoe gives it away...
I showed this to some people at work, not many guessed it was a horse so I guess it's pretty bad!
And this one you should recognise from the red nose!
Of course I had to recreate my favourite from Michelle's class last month - the cow.... (excuse the pig looking snout - my oval was a bit big)
And another recreation from Michelle's, a lovely dog....

Oval Card
After making a round card earlier, I thought I'd try the other shaped nestibilities which I have, to create some other shapes.

Song of Spring - Round card
After making most of my cards in the standard shape and size, I thought I'd give this round card a go. I have used my cuttlebug and the nestabilities cutting dies for the card and scallops and circles.... You just have to roll the card through twice as it is a little thick to cut when folded in half... The cool part of doing a scallop card is that it stands up without rolling away!
This lovely little stampset, Song of Spring - is from Stampin Up.

Michelle Habib's $2 class
Well I spent a lovely afternoon at Michelle's today for her $2 class.
I didn't stay too long (for a change!) and really wanted to be out taking photo's in the beautiful weather.... I haven't got out there yet though.....
Here are a couple of cards from Michelle's class. I loved the designs and the colour combinations....

Look-a-like parchment craft
We I have always been curious about parchment craft but it looks like it would take a long time and reminds me of painful hand embossing....
So here is embossed vellum through the cuttlebug machine. It gives the same kind of look as parchment craft without the time and suffering!
I have added flowers on top from Stampin Ups Petal prints set.

Flowerpot Cards
Well I finally got around to trying a flowerpot card. The tutorial is on splitcoast stampers website.
Instead of using patterned paper, I used my cuttlebug and embossed the front and back of the pot, with the cbug embossing folder. Tip: line up the back of the flowerpot card to the pattern end in folder (not the end of the folder), this way it will emboss all the way up to the scallop (just underneath) and completely emboss the back...
I used Stampin Ups really rust cardstock and watercolour card for the first flowerpot card and the playful petals stampset for the flowers. The second card is using white cardstock and the Eastern Blooms stampset with the leaves from playful petals. Curvy verses used for both.
Well that was fun! I hope to get a chance to try out some more projects from We Stamp over the weekend.
